課程概述 |
This is a college-to-graduate level course on observational techniques in astronomy. It will describe the methods and principles that we use to measure the electromagnetic radiation from celestial objects, and how this can lead to knowledge about these objects. Through the course, students will gain hands-on experience of operating small telescopes and processing astronomical data. Optional on-campus and off-campus observations will be provided. Lectures will be given in Mandarin, but course material will be in English. |

Students should have taken general physics and general astronomy. Priority will also be given to graduate students in physics and astronomy, and then junior and senior students in physics. |
